Disgusting - couldn’t wait to leave.

Beds were damp, room smelt of damp. Food was awful. Staff were unhelpful and rude. Paid all inclusive but did not provide bottled water had to buy that separately. Run out of beer, clean towels etc. Over priced. Couldn’t wait to leave.

Just modest vacations

Good location in Varadero, nice beach, big pool. Near to the hotel is located the Bike-rent, it's a good fun and transport option for mobile tourists.

Very poor variety of drinks in the restaurant. Better say, no good variety. The juices were awful, freshes were not available, only TuCola, Beer and Water. The staff was pleasant but not very interested in their job, but this is Cuba, there it is normal)

You have to understand that resorts in Cuba are not like...

You have to understand that resorts in Cuba are not like resorts in punta cana or Thailand. They are building resorts good for Cuba. It is not especially stellar but is very nice. AC was not strong enough but beach is incredible, staff is stellar, and you can visit all the neighboring resorts for late night activities.

Decent relax in resort, poor food

Decent quality of rooms, cleaningness, nice pool area, smiling staff (other than reception - receptionsts are quite rude), beach, evening shows nad concerts. Internet was working at The reception area - slowly, but as for Cuba not that bad.

Hotel was advertised as "adults only" but there were kids running and screaming around. Food was as everyehere in Cuba - tasteless and poor quality, tough no stomach problems so at least that. Windsurfing equipment was broken and I couldnt use it. It was a cuban 4 star- European standard would be 2.5-3* max.

Very nice hotel for the price and location.

The property was nice; staff was very friendly and welcoming. The pool area and beach are also very nice.

Not much activities to do, the hour WiFi that cuts off after a certain time. The food did not taste good

Lovely beach and hotel!

The beach was generally great and very long, the Cuban people very friendly, and the Varadero Beach Tour bus line could be conveniently used to go anywhere in Varadero.

Spacious room.

Spacious room. A great variety of food in the restaurant. Large area near the hotel and big swimming pool. Great beach.

Crap. I will be telling everyone how crap it was and will never return.

I liked the beach because all the jellyfish were so beautiful. I also liked getting in a cab and seeing the place in the rear view mirror as i left while i was thinking i never have to go back. And finally i like telling everyone what a crap place it is.

Room - dated and dirty. The coffee machine only partially worked and the staff never really cleaned the room. They did make the bed but that was about it. The door was broken in half so you had to lift it to get it to open. Lifts were dirty and had very aggressive doors that would shut on people. It was a bit funny to watch the old and the weak struggle but even that got boring after a while. Wifi was sporatic and only in lobby and costs 24euros/day. Food was generally crap but the breakfast was tolerable - and although we had an all inclusive we ate lunch and dinner at outside restaurants. Wine crap - cant believe they call it wine. Coffee total crap - the stuff in the lobby was slightly better but in the breakfast room it was disgusting. Front reception - rude rude rude. I am sure its because the place is so bad and they take a lot of heat from guests. with a couple exceptions - red headed woman and all the bell guys - they were cool. Guests - plenty rude but again some people were totally cool.

Restaurant and reception personnel were nice, food variety and proximity to the beach. Chef was great

The hotel needs remodeling, a lot of work. Check in process wasn't smooth, I paid for a room with 2 beds and for one bed, had to wait a day to relocate. Door jammed.

cool place, location, service, food, drinks!

Hi ! I was travel with my friend. So the hotel is nice and clean. Big territory. We stayed at Arenas Blancas but we could use Solymar also (buffet, beach, bars). And for us it was better because in day time its possible to sleep in the room. At Solymar because of the animation its a little bit difficult. So beaches are beautiful, but so boring at day time the only one thing they have to do its animation on the beach. Rooms are clean, food is good (you can order grill shrimps, chicken, fish, red meet) Also people can you some restaurants A LA CARTA (but it wasnt like something very tasty) Next to hotel like 2 min walk is night club ( like open bar) Calle 62 ( you can practice cuban salsa there) but it close at 1.30 am and later you can go to La Campanita (something like this) its nice place and 3 min walk. Its good place for young people, families and people in age. Highly recommended!

Service, food, cleanings I suggest Melia Las Americas for this money- they are 5 stars and reach at least 3-4 in Europe. OAB have 4 stars and reach maybe 2.
